Autumn and Authors… and an AMA.

Autumn and Authors… and an AMA.

It’s not summer any more but thankfully the days are staying nice. That’s good, because I’ve had a list of chores to work through that kept me away from any updates here. I gather that I am most comfortable with a less-than-quarterly posting frequency, but when each book takes about three years to write, the time flies between gaps where I can stop and redirect myself to leaving a mark on this blog.

By way of an update, I expect to have news on a couple of big projects very soon–but I’m keeping them under wrap for now. No sense slipping in any careless, offhand comments. I’ll try to make some bigger announcements soon. Watch this space, and above all, follow me on social media. You’ll find out first there.

The nitty gritty, however? I have a little over 250 pages left to proofread in ‘Kings of Kramwen’ before turning it over for some external developmental and line editing, then beta readings. My hope had been for it to come out this fall, especially since the draft was finished in the spring. It’s just the challenge of squeezing in time for the QC while I juggle everything else.

We travelled over the summer (a big endeavour given that we have family on the other side of the world.) We’ve also embarked on some home renos and upgrades, which make for a nicer place to hang your hat, but don’t leave a lot of time left over. And I have a regular job, too.

The positives are that the writing group I’ve been a part of is going strong after more than a year, at least (I lost track.) My creativity is flowing, and I have maybe half of my next book plotted out. Big stuff. Make sure you get caught up. I’m also looking to add some video content for something new. So far, my YouTube channel has been left untouched, but I’d like to record a few videos so that you all get to know me in that format, also.

To that end, I plan to drop a post on my Facebook (Meta) author page to give all my readers a chance to ask some questions that they’d like to answered. I had a list from the last live stream I did, but that was a long time ago. What sort of things do you want to know now? Click the link (and like/follow, if you haven’t already) and leave a comment with your queries. See you soon.
